It's great to see "Angel Heart" on this list. I think the director, Alan Parker, is very under-rated. The mood and sense of dread he creates in this movie is intense, to say the least. I also think it's one of Mickey Rourke's best performances too.
I'm a HUGE fan of both Pink Floyd and the film, Pink Floyd: The Wall, so while this movie was off my radar, Alan Parker was on it, thankfully. Without trying to spoil anything for those who haven't seen it, there's a certain... manifestation... that I don't believe in theologically and yet I thought this was an absolutely brilliant depiction of how, if that manifestation were to be active in the world, would operate. Very well done!
