October has arrived and so have scary movies!
Welcome to October! I love a good scary movie, and since so many of them are rated R and here we are in the month of Halloween, I’d say it’s time to have our own little Halloween Countdown here at R-Rated Movie Club. You’re welcome to join in with comments on the movies I write about this month and share with your friends.

While I cannot see the future (okay, I did peek once, and turns out I will choose the turkey sandwich on that fateful day), here’s my plan for our second annual Halloween Countdown at R-Rated Movie Club:
Mondays in October
Read about what scary movies I watched this week. My goal is to watch at least 31 scary movies this month, perhaps even one per day. Not all scary movies are rated R, of course (The Ring is a good example) and I haven’t decided if I’ll post about all of them or just the R movies. Thoughts? What will I do — who knows?!
Wednesdays in October
Read a new weekly announcement about scary movie entries and of course, this year’s Subscriber Giveaway. Details to come — how mysterious!
Fridays in October
Read a brief essay on a scary movie and a scary scripture passage. We’ll have monster stories, ghost stories, and more. Sooooo spoooooky!
I would love to know what scary movies you recommend for me or what scary movies you intend to watch this year, whether for the first time or because they’re old favorites. Let the world know in the comments. Yes, that’s right! The whole world* is reading R-Rated Movie Club! (* one definition of “the whole world” could potentially be “at least several dozen people”).
